my professional background
Working at NRS Healthcare I have helped to drive sales from various different online channels and these included three of the company retail websites, Amazon and eBay. The main focus has been to improve the online presence of the retail website which included working on the Organic and Paid traffic acquisition. There has been a heavy emphasis on Conversion Rate Optimisation combined with Web Development (Magento) to improve the UX of the website. I recruited and trained an in-house digital team of 12 to help with the growth of the business....
Whilst in my role at UK Flooring Direct I helped generated revenue from the existing channels of Organic, Paid and Email. The website was hit by a Google link penalty prior to me starting so this was the first thing that I removed, as previously the Organic was the main channel for traffic. Due to the penalty there was a heavy reliance on Paid which I helped improve the ROI. I also redeveloped the website using Magento and a new server architecture to support the growth of the website. I helped build an in-house digital team to aid all channels including the integration of the website and CRM (Netsuite) system....
In my role at Simpson Millar LLP I helped develop leads through the company website for the different areas that we serviced. Initially I worked on the Holiday Claims department where I increased the Organic traffic to the website and also optimised and increased the Paid traffic to make it more profitable. There were multiple websites launched and others redeveloped during my role further aiding conversion of visitors to leads. I recruited and trained a team of 8 in-house digital staff to help with the growth of the digital side of the business....
I received a First Class Honours degree at Aston University, within my course I also completed an industrial placement for 12 months at IBM in Portsmouth. My dissertation involved a designing and building an auction website PHP/MySQL) for university students to sell their second hand books....
